"On July 5th, we’ll hold our annual "God and Country" service. The Heights Band will be here (from the home of Ft. Hood) and our Chancel Choir will sing. We’ll only have one service that weekend at 9:30 a.m. in our main sanctuary. The flags will be out and it’s a service you won't want to miss. We'll also be showing our Veterans' pictures on the big screen. Come early and enjoy this special worship service."

In these days of trying to maximize life, many of us sense the need for a fresh start. We add activities, join new clubs, go to new places, meet new people and yet there is still an inner hunger that goes unfilled. I am firmly convinced that Jesus Christ is the one who fills that inner hunger and maximizes life and First Methodist Church is Christ centered. We’re a diverse and multi-generational church that focuses on ministering to the whole person.

The First United Methodist Church of Waco recently received the distinction of being one of the top 100 churches in attendance. This is out of 36,000 United Methodist Churches in the United States.
