What did Jesus teach in the Sermon on the Mount? In this class we will examine Jesus’ great invitation to life in God’s kingdom, which includes living free from anger, lust, lying, worry, and more. We will once again examine our narratives about God and see how well those align with the Bible. We will also be equipped to take up spiritual disciplines or exercises that will help us to experience God’s grace by opening ourselves to the changing work of the Holy Spirit.

In this course you will increase your caring skills, help to build the Christian community, and grow spiritually as you live out your faith on a daily basis. We will explore ways to visit with folks who are housebound or in a care facility, to become the “face” of First Methodist. You will learn about the art of listening and confidentiality, and leave this class with an assignment of someone you can visit with on a regular basis.
Sharing Faith Ronnie Marroquin Room 210
For many people, sharing your faith does not come naturally. You probably dread sharing your faith because you don’t know where to start. We will look at biblical reasons why individuals avoid the Good News. You will learn how to share your faith with your everyone from immediate family to coworkers. This will be a fun, interactive class and your efforts in sharing your faith with others can have an eternal impact on their lives.
