InsideOUT.

Imagine three students walking home from school when quietly and unassumingly, Jesus walks up alongside of them.  After they make their brief, maybe semi-awkward introductions, what do you think Jesus would start to talk about?  Would he draw from the Scripture of the week or the latest youth devotion from Zondervan?  Or would he talk about the morning’s headlines (Luke 24:17), a dysfunctional fruit tree (Matthew 21:19), or the girl ahead of them who walks home by herself every day because people pick on her (John 4:7)?  Jesus’ most powerful teaching moments always happened when he took events from the here and now and translated them into next steps using Scriptures.  This fall, InsideOUT will
1) meet students where they are and discuss what’s going on in their world
2) introduce key scriptures that will help them interpret these experiences

3) challenge them with a tangible life response.

This is all done in a small group environment broken up by gender as well as MS/HS students and provides a first step into the value of being a part of a small group.  InsideOUT happens every Sunday morning at 9:30 and 10:50 in the Student Ministry Center.

BRIDGE

Often there is a chasm between Christianity and student culture that leaves students feeling like they don’t belong in the church or they don’t feel comfortable bringing their friends to church.  The BRIDGE is designed to help students cross this chasm and experience the life in Christ they never thought they could have.  The BRIDGE creates two unique arenas for middle and high school students.  In each of these environments there is wide open fun, heart moving worship, and relevant teaching that gives students a place to invite a friend while having their own faith journey accelerated.  It’s also where students experience community each week in breakout groups and communion each month through the Lord’s Supper.  BRIDGE is every Wednesday night during the school year except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and Spring Break week.

Middle School Bridge is from 6:00-7:30pm and meets in the Student Ministry Center.
